Production

The Production side of the show is mainly run by the stage manager, which takes up a big portion of the production team. The role of the stage manager is different depending on the setting. In a school setting, “the role of stage manager is generally more limited to organizing rehearsals and calling cues for a show,” (Holloway). The stage manager has to maintain a close relationship with the director, along with attending design meetings (Holloway). “It is very important that the stage manager or assistant take precise notes about the decisions made at production meetings,” (Holloway) as well as during rehearsals. Little another jobs that the stage manager has to do is tape out the set in the rehearsal area, and make a production book (Holloway).
